As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain displays and inventory, and build relationships with store teams. You may also support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations, and occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role involves merchandising Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. The position averages 6–8 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and during season changeovers, installations, extended services, and inventory support. Holiday availability may include weekends and, on some occasions, the holiday itself. Department resets and remodel assignments may involve evenings or weekends; remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. Merchandisers may also support colleagues in other territories as needed. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. It is physically demanding and requires frequent movement of merchandise and fixtures, including lifting up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
