About The Position
As a Hallmark Merchandiser, you independently service the Hallmark department in various retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You are responsible for the Hallmark product displays in your assigned stores, working with store teams to optimize product placement and inventory and maintaining professional relationships with store employees, managers, and customers. The role also includes supporting other merchandisers when needed. The work includes routine restocking, organizing and monitoring products, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication, and assisting with seasonal holidays and department resets. Reset assignments may involve installing fixtures, relocating departments or products, and resetting card sections. Additional work and extended hours may occur around holidays and during seasonal changeovers, installations, and inventory support. This is a part-time position with a variable workweek schedule averaging 3–9 hours per week. The job is physically demanding and involves working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
- Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Responsibilities
- Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside Hallmark departments at assigned retail stores.
- Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and help optimize product placement and inventory levels.
- Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks, communications, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and merchandising activity reporting.
- Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
- Provide additional support around holidays, including additional workdays and extended hours; work on certain holidays when required.
- Support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities.
- Assist with department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
- Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
