About The Position

Hallmark is hiring a part-time Merchandiser to service Hallmark departments in retail stores in Concord, North Carolina. The role works independently to organize and showcase products, maintain inventory, build relationships with retailer teams, and represent Hallmark. Merchandisers may also support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations, and may occasionally work with products from other companies in the stores they service. The work includes day-to-day product restocking, organization, and inventory monitoring, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication. Merchandisers are responsible for the Hallmark product displays at their assigned stores and are expected to interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. Because Hallmark operations follow seasonal demand, the position may involve additional days and extended hours around major holidays. Holiday work may include weekends and, on some occasions, the holiday itself. Department resets may involve building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments or products, and resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may occur in the evenings or on weekends. The position averages 8–10 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the workweek. Starting pay is $13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. The work is physically demanding and takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. It requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of items, along with standing, walking, kneeling, and squatting; stairs and step ladders may also be involved.
