The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to present Hallmark products, maintain inventory, and build relationships with retailer teams. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in stores such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers, and occasionally may include work with other companies’ products. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and merchandising activity documentation. They may also assist teammates in other territories as needed. The position is part-time, with a variable work-week schedule averaging 7–10 hours per week. Work hours may increase around major holidays and during seasonal changeovers, installations, extended services, and inventory support. Holiday availability, including weekends, is required; some assignments may involve work on the holiday itself. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may include evening or weekend work. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Merchandisers must be able to handle cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures, and may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders. Applicants must be at least 18, able to read and understand English, use a digital handheld device, access Wi-Fi and the internet, and travel reliably between assigned stores.
