As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, showcasing organization and time-management skills, building retailer relationships, and representing Hallmark. You will work with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may assist colleagues with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, the role may involve products from other companies in the stores you service. The position averages 7–10 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. It requires availability before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends, and availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Seasonal periods can involve additional workdays and extended hours; working on certain holidays may be required. Department resets and remodel assignments may include evenings or weekends. Hallmark provides a mobile device for merchandising work and communications. The role includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark inventory and displays, communicating with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required activity surveys. Merchandisers may also install fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.
