About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to maintain and showcase Hallmark products, manage inventory, and build relationships with store teams. The role includes day-to-day merchandising, seasonal holiday support, and occasional department resets and installations. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication, and may sometimes support other team members or work with other companies’ products in stores they service. This is a part-time position averaging 8–11 hours per week, with a variable weekday schedule. Additional days or extended hours may be needed around major holidays, during seasonal changeovers, and for installations or inventory support. Some holiday, evening, or weekend work may be required. Starting pay is $17.25–$19.25 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases, and part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Able to read, write, and understand English.
Able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures throughout the workday.
Able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday, and potentially climb stairs and step ladders.
Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
Availability for a variable work-week schedule and to support seasonal needs, including possible weekends, evenings, and holiday work.

Responsibilities

Service Hallmark departments in retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores.
Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside the Hallmark department.
Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement in collaboration with store teams.
Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys.
Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
Provide additional support around holidays, including extended hours and, on some occasions, work on the holiday itself.
Participate in seasonal changeovers, installations, inventory support, and department resets.
Build, install, or relocate Hallmark fixtures and card departments, and reset card sections.
Support other merchandisers in their territories when needed.
