About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You will work with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, serve as the face of Hallmark, and support colleagues with seasonal resets and installations as needed. The role may occasionally involve working with other companies' products in the stores you service.

The position averages 6–7 hours per week and has a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays, season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Availability the week before and after major holidays is required and may include weekends; work on certain holidays and evenings or weekends for remodels and resets may also be required. Hallmark provides paid hands-on and virtual training. Starting pay is $16.90–$18.90 per hour, depending on skills and experience, with annual pay increases for eligible employees. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

The role requires regular work on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. Physical demands include frequently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying items up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, as well as kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs and step ladders.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside assigned Hallmark departments.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication, including reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
• Provide holiday support, including additional days and extended hours around seasonal demand.
• Support installations and department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
