The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to present Hallmark products, maintain inventory, and build relationships with store teams. The role includes servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers; supporting seasonal demand and department resets; and occasionally supporting other team members in their territories. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication, time reporting, feedback, and required activity surveys. The position has a variable schedule during the work week, averaging 8–12 hours per week. Additional days or extended hours may be needed around major holidays, seasonal changeovers, installations, and inventory support. Resets may involve evening or weekend work, and some holidays may require working on the holiday itself. The job is physically demanding and includes working on sales floors and in stockrooms. Merchandisers must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry items up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, as well as kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday. Climbing stairs and step ladders may also be required. Starting pay is $14.50–$16.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid hands-on and virtual training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases, and part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours may access voluntary benefits.
