About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to maintain and showcase Hallmark products and displays. You collaborate with store teams, build retailer relationships, and may support other merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations. The work takes place on selling floors and in back stockrooms, and may occasionally involve working with other companies’ products in the stores you service.

The role includes routine restocking, organizing, and inventory monitoring; seasonal holiday support; and, when assigned, department installations and resets. A Hallmark-provided mobile device is used for work tasks and communication. The position averages 8–12 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. Availability before and after major holidays, including some weekends and holidays, and for season changeovers and installations is required. Starting pay is $14.50–$16.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday; climbing stairs and step ladders may also be required.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Have availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, and be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a mobile device for day-to-day work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys related to required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support around seasonal holidays, which may involve additional workdays or extended hours and, on occasion, working on the holiday itself.
• Participate in department installations and resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories as needed.
• Travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
