About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, representing Hallmark while maintaining product displays and inventory. You work with local store teams to optimize product placement and may support seasonal resets, installations, and other products in stores you service. The role involves working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms, and using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and communication.

The position averages 6–7 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around seasonal holidays. The role requires availability the week before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends, as well as availability for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Part-time employees scheduled for fewer than 30 hours may access voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside Hallmark departments at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a mobile device to complete day-to-day work, communicate with a supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and respond to surveys for required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide holiday support, including additional days or extended hours around seasonal demand; work on certain holidays when required.
• Participate in department resets, including building or installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories as needed.
• Support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities.
