Hallmark is hiring a part-time Merchandiser to service Hallmark departments in retail stores such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The role works independently to maintain and showcase product displays, inventory, and placement; build relationships with local store teams; and represent Hallmark. Merchandisers may occasionally support other companies’ products in the stores they service and assist colleagues with seasonal resets and installations. The position averages 13–15 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. The role includes paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around holidays and for season changeovers, installations, extended services, and inventory support. Availability during the weeks before and after major holidays is required and may include weekends; working on certain holidays may also be required. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, communication, time reporting, feedback, and surveys. Employees must be able to travel between assigned stores and have access to Wi-Fi and the internet. Hallmark part-time employees may access voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Employment is contingent upon completing required employment agreements and Form I-9 verification and passing a post-offer background check. Hallmark generally does not provide employment sponsorship.
