As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build retailer relationships, optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and represent Hallmark. You work with store teams and may support other merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, you may work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. Day-to-day work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark inventory, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communications, and interacting professionally with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. The schedule is variable during the work week, averaging 12–15 hours weekly. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and seasonal changeovers. Work may include weekends and, on some occasions, the actual holiday. Department resets and remodel assignments may involve building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections; these assignments may occur in the evening or on weekends. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. Starting pay is $14.50–$16.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
