About The Position

JCPenney Salon seeks a hair stylist to provide a superior client experience by understanding clients’ needs and delivering professional styling services, including current haircuts, finishing, and chemical services. The role involves listening and interacting with clients, responding to their expectations, building a client base, and collaborating with salon team members. Commission depends on credential level, sales, and productivity. The posting describes Designer, Sr. Designer, and Master Designer levels.

Requirements

Maintain a current cosmetology license in the state where applying.
Demonstrate self-motivation, flexibility, people skills, and passion for the beauty industry.
Be able to build a client base and partner with salon team members.
Be willing to participate in a learning environment.
Provide great customer service and cooperate with others.
Show confidence, accountability, and the ability to make smart decisions.

Provide professional styling services, including haircuts, finishing, and chemical services.
Determine clients’ needs and provide a superior client experience.
