Habilitation Technician / Direct Support Professional
About The Position
BAYADA is hiring Habilitation Technicians to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. The role helps individuals build confidence, strengthen everyday and life skills, and live as independently as possible. Work is relationship-centered and includes support with daily routines, personal care, companionship, and community engagement. Positions are available in King, North Carolina, and surrounding areas. The starting rate is $16.00 per hour, with flexible scheduling and a goal of placing employees within a 30-minute commute of home. An apprentice program may offer training to applicants without the stated experience.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; training may be available through an apprentice program for those without this experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
