Gym Manager
About The Position
PureGym is seeking a Gym Manager to lead and inspire a team of fitness professionals, create an exceptional member experience, and maintain first-class standards. The manager is responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are followed and for creating a positive place to work and work out. This full-time position spans member experience, business performance, team development, and club operations. The Gym Manager manages a team at their club and works closely with other Gym Managers across the cluster to improve area-wide performance. The role reports to a Cluster Manager.
Requirements
- Previous management experience.
- Passion for fitness and wellbeing.
- Passion for supporting people to reach their full potential.
- Strong team-player skills and willingness to work closely with the Assistant Gym Manager.
- Ability to recruit Personal Trainers and Gym Floor Associates and identify new ways to attract talent.
- Excellent time management, organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Drive gym performance by reviewing operational details, setting improvement action plans, and ensuring a safe and legal environment.
- Grow member numbers and ancillary business revenue to meet and exceed club targets.
- Grow Personal Trainer revenue and proactively recruit new talent to the site.
- Deliver an excellent member experience through consistent attention to service and standards.
- Regularly walk the club floor to assess facility cleanliness.
- Manage the team and foster a high-performance culture.
- Drive sales through effective club tours and lead-generation activity.
- Develop the Assistant Gym Manager and work together to run the club effectively.
- Build close working relationships with other Gym Managers in the cluster to strengthen performance across the area.
- Ensure club policies and procedures are consistently followed.
