About The Position

The Guestroom Attendant is an essential member of the hotel’s housekeeping team, responsible for cleaning and replenishing guest rooms, completing a designated number of rooms per shift, and maintaining housekeeping supplies. The role supports the Rooms Division in keeping the property clean and welcoming, while providing guests with professional, efficient, prompt, and courteous service. The position is at Valley River Inn, a riverfront hotel in Eugene, Oregon, with more than 250 rooms and suites, dining, and meeting and event spaces.

Requirements

Available to work weekends and holidays.
Desire to work in a fast-paced role.

Nice To Haves

Prior housekeeping or related cleaning experience.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical applications.

Responsibilities

Provide guests with professional, efficient, prompt, and courteous service.
Clean and maintain all guestrooms to property-specific standards.
Clean and replenish a designated number of rooms within the assigned shift.
Maintain supplies and organization of the housekeeping cart.
Check rooms and report damage, repair needs, or loss of supplies.
Monitor cleanliness of public areas both inside and outside the property.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
Greet and warmly engage guests.
Complete tasks assigned by the Housekeeping Manager and/or General Manager.
