About The Position
The Guest Services position at Sunburst Bay supports safe, welcoming recreation for Cary Park District guests during Summer 2027. Duties include monitoring the pool deck during open swim, enforcing facility rules and slide height requirements, communicating emergencies to the Manager’s Office, serving cabana guests, teaching swim lessons, and attending parties. The role also requires preseason training in May and weekly in-service training throughout the summer.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old by May 1, 2027.
- Have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor activity on the pool deck during open swim.
- Enforce facility rules.
- Use a walkie-talkie to communicate with the Manager’s Office and report emergencies.
- Measure guests at slide towers and enforce the 48-inch height requirement.
- Serve cabana guests, take orders, and deliver food from the Snack Shack.
- Teach beginner to advanced swim lessons for Sunburst Swim School.
- Serve as a party attendant for Fun in the Sun party packages.
- Attend preseason training in May and weekly in-service trainings throughout summer.
