About The Position

Sunburst Bay Snack Shack Staff support snack shack operations at Cary Park District’s Sunburst Bay. The role involves greeting guests, maintaining cleanliness in the snack shack and deck area according to Health Department standards, and preparing and serving food promptly. Staff collaborate with Guest Services to prepare food for cabana renters and complete opening and closing tasks assigned by the Manager or Shift Lead. Teaching swim lessons through Sunburst Swim School is optional. Staff attend preseason training in May and in-service training throughout the summer.

Requirements

• Food Safe Handler Certification.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness in the snack shack and deck area according to Health Department standards.
• Prepare and serve food in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Guest Services staff to prepare food for cabana renters.
• Participate in opening and closing tasks assigned by the Manager or Shift Lead.
• Attend preseason training in May and in-service training throughout the summer.
• Teach beginner to advanced swim lessons for Sunburst Swim School (optional, not required).
