Sunburst Bay Guest Services Summer 2027
About The Position
Sunburst Bay Guest Services staff support safe and enjoyable pool operations at the Cary Park District. The role includes monitoring the pool deck during open swim, enforcing facility rules and the 48-inch slide height requirement, and reporting emergencies to the Manager’s Office by walkie-talkie. Staff also serve cabana guests by taking orders and delivering food from the Snack Shack, teach swim lessons for Sunburst Swim School, and attend to guests at Fun in the Sun parties. Employees attend preseason training in May and weekly in-service trainings throughout the summer.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old by May 1, 2027.
- Have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor activity on the pool deck during open swim.
- Enforce facility rules.
- Use a walkie-talkie to communicate with the Manager’s Office and report emergencies.
- Measure guests at slide towers and enforce the 48-inch height requirement.
- Serve cabana guests, take orders, and deliver food from the Snack Shack.
- Teach beginner-to-advanced swim lessons for Sunburst Swim School.
- Serve as a party attendant for Fun in the Sun party packages.
- Attend preseason training in May and weekly in-service trainings throughout the summer.
