About The Position

The Guest Services Team Member provides the first point of contact for guests at Starkville Parks & Recreation and Cornerstone Sports Complex. The role delivers courteous, first-class customer service and requires knowledge of facility programs and offerings. It is a part-time, non-exempt position in the Operations department, located in Starkville, Mississippi, and reports to the Operations Director.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours, and regular attendance are necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and provide information and wayfinding as needed.
Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests.
Register guests and process payments for leagues, camps, clinics, drop-in activities, and other offerings.
Know facility programs, including formats, pricing, and meeting dates and times.
Operate the ticket sales booth and handle cash.
Supervise athletic fields and enforce rules during events.
Occasionally record event scores and print game sheets.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion with guest and team member information.
Professionally resolve guest concerns and complaints or direct them to the appropriate manager.
Maintain a clean space and conduct regular indoor and outdoor walk-throughs to ensure venue cleanliness.
Know and enforce venue policies and procedures.
Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as assigned.
