About The Position

The Guest Services Associate welcomes guests and helps them feel comfortable on arrival. The role administers check-ins and check-outs and responds professionally and courteously to arriving, departing, and in-house guests by providing accurate, timely information and services. The associate maintains a friendly demeanor, handles guest payments and inquiries, and provides information about transportation, restaurants, and hotel amenities. The position is hiring for the 7 AM–3 PM shift at Four Points by Sheraton Kansas City Airport in Kansas City, Missouri.

Requirements

High school education and relevant hotel experience.
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, including handling guest objections and disputes to satisfactory results.
Initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes necessary.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and maintain a friendly, warm demeanor.
Obtain necessary information when taking room reservations.
Monitor VIP and special guest requests.
Use the relevant phases of the front desk computer system.
Log and deliver messages, packages, and mail promptly and professionally.
Stay informed about current rate packages and promotions, in-house groups, and blackout and restricted dates.
Check guests in and out in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
Process guest payments.
Provide information to guests about transportation, restaurants, and other matters.
Explain hotel amenities to guests at check-in.
Complete the shift checklist and ensure shift tasks are finished in a timely and efficient manner.
Answer guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
Adhere to brand standards and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
