About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Guest Service Representative for The Trail Hotel in Bardstown, Kentucky. The role supports hotel front desk and guest services, emphasizing personal recognition, prompt attention to guest needs, and adherence to established check-in, check-out, privacy, and cash-handling procedures. The position also assists with welcome amenities, VIP arrivals, telephone inquiries, lobby activation, and maintaining an organized front desk.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in front desk operations.
• In-depth knowledge of hotel front desk operations.
• At least a high school education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet arriving guests and provide personal recognition.
• Review daily arrival lists and help prepare and assemble welcome amenities.
• Escort VIPs to their rooms and check them in before arrival.
• Answer the telephone within three rings, respond to questions, or transfer calls as needed.
• Manage the issued bank by counting it at the beginning and end of the shift, making cash drops according to procedures, and reporting cash overages or shortages to management.
• Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
• Assist with lobby activation as needed.
• Follow proper procedures for handling guests' personally identifiable information.
• Follow check-in and check-out checklists and collect required identification documents and payment upon arrival.
• Attend promptly to guest needs and inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
