About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Maintenance Engineer for The Trail Hotel in Bardstown, Kentucky. The role maintains the hotel’s grounds, public areas, and guest rooms, performs preventive maintenance, and responds to and completes work orders. The position requires knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry. Requirements

Minimum of three years in a hotel maintenance position is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to visually inspect machines.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

Nice To Haves

One year of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
Conduct preventive maintenance to help prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation, and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
