About The Position

My Place Hotel in Plainfield, Indiana, is hiring a Guest Service Representative to serve as a central point of contact for guests and help ensure a seamless stay from reservation through checkout. The role combines front desk service, administrative work, safety checks, cleaning, and support for housekeeping and maintenance. The listed shifts are 7 a.m.–1 p.m. and 1 p.m.–9 p.m.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and handle check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
Record room, tax, My Store, and pet-fee charges according to hotel policy.
Provide information about the hotel, amenities, local attractions, restaurants, shopping, and churches.
Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally.
Operate the phone system, take and transfer calls, record messages, and manage wake-up calls.
Complete credit card authorizations and handle cash transactions and change accurately.
Maintain records of daily activities, including the Night Audit Checklist, cash and call logs, and Front Desk Log.
Report front desk, guest-relations, or maintenance issues to the General Manager.
Follow safety and security protocols; inspect floors, stairwells, outside doors, and exterior lighting.
Promote the Stay Rewarded Loyalty Program.
Assist with laundry; clean and sanitize common areas; stock supplies; make coffee and stock the coffee bar; and keep entrances and sidewalks free of snow and ice.
Deliver guest supplies such as rollaway cribs, towels, and soap.
Issue and track master keys and key cards for housekeeping and maintenance staff.
Assist with cleaning guest rooms when needed, particularly when the hotel is full or housekeeping staff is short.
