About The Position
As a Guest Service/Sales Associate at European Wax Center, you create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Your friendly demeanor and sales ability help ensure positive, memorable interactions. The position is part time or full time, with any shift Monday through Sunday. The listed salary range of $15.00–$16.00 per hour includes the base hourly rate plus package sales commission. The role is located in White Oak, Silver Spring, Maryland, and has no travel requirement. Work is performed mostly indoors in a moderate, controlled-temperature environment. Team members must communicate effectively, handle changing levels of activity, accept constructive feedback, and work in a potentially stressful environment. The job involves standing, walking, and sitting, including sitting or standing at a desk for up to an unspecified number of hours per day, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Requirements
- At least one year of related service or retail experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency with point-of-sale systems and computer technology.
- Ability to adapt to varying guest personalities and remain calm under pressure.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Ability to work effectively in stressful environments, communicate with others, accept constructive feedback, and adapt to changing activity.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit as required, and to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner.
- Engage guests in conversations to understand their needs, preferences, and skincare goals.
- Educate guests about wax pass options, promotions, the benefits of regular waxing, and prebooking.
- Maintain knowledge of all European Wax Center offerings, including its retail line.
- Uphold Artemis Wax standards and protocols.
- Address guest inquiries, book reservations, and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Keep the front desk and lobby organized, inviting, clean, and hygienic according to brand standards.
- Support colleagues and share product knowledge to foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain brand knowledge and sales skills.
