GUEST SERVICE ASSOCIATE
About The Position
The Guest Service Associate is a sales and guest experience team member at European Wax Center. The associate welcomes guests, learns about their needs, and recommends services, packages, memberships, and retail products. The role includes earning commission on packages sold, meeting individual sales goals, booking appointments, and helping create a positive guest experience. The associate also serves as a key holder responsible for opening and closing the center, and maintains the front desk and lobby to brand standards. The position is part-time or full-time and is located in West Caldwell, New Jersey.
Requirements
- One year of service or retail experience.
- Proactive, adaptable problem solver and positive team player.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and computers.
- Able to adapt to different guest personalities and remain calm under pressure.
- Committed to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Able to stand or sit for up to 8 hours per day.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Nice To Haves
- Sales experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Sell service packages, memberships, and retail products to new and returning guests, and prebook their next visit.
- Own individual sales goals and performance metrics.
- Learn guests’ needs, preferences, and skincare goals, and recommend appropriate services and products.
- Understand services, packages, promotions, and retail products well enough to explain the benefits of regular waxing.
- Serve as a key holder and open and close the center.
- Greet guests, book appointments, and address questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Keep the front desk and lobby organized and aligned with brand standards.
- Participate in ongoing training to develop product knowledge and sales skills.
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management, and accept constructive feedback.
- Adapt activities and priorities as business needs require.
