About The Position

The Guest Service Agent supports a seamless and memorable guest experience at Hotel del Coronado by welcoming guests, managing check-in and check-out, sharing knowledge of hotel offerings and the local area, promoting hotel services, and responding to guest needs. This is a full-time classified position and part of the Local L30 Union. It requires complete open availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays; schedule restrictions cannot be accommodated. Full-time hours are not guaranteed, and hours and schedules vary based on seniority and business needs, potentially being minimal until seniority is established.

Responsibilities

• Welcome arriving guests and complete check-in, including verifying details, assigning rooms, issuing keys, and providing welcome materials or bell service assistance.
• Process guest departures by verifying charges, handling payments, issuing receipts, and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel offerings, room types, rates, promotions, and local information to assist guests.
• Recommend hotel amenities and use up-selling techniques to maximize room and service revenue.
• Respond to guest requests, resolve concerns with care and urgency, and manage messages and communications.
