The Guest Safety Officer is responsible for the safety and well-being of guests and fellow employees. Team members follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy by acknowledging guests and colleagues within 10 feet, offering a friendly verbal greeting within 5 feet, staying alert, and looking for opportunities to greet others. Team members participate in mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions. The officer patrols the property to identify safety hazards and security issues; monitors casino and other property areas for disturbances, crime, fire hazards, and undesirable people; and reports concerns to a Security Supervisor. The role includes assisting civil and law enforcement authorities, providing testimony when necessary, handling lost-and-found requests, enforcing company policies, assisting injured guests and providing first aid until professional help arrives, and checking identification to ensure guests are at least 21 in gaming areas, bars, and venues. The officer also escorts employees carrying assets and sensitive keys, carries chips and paperwork between Table Games and Cashier areas, observes and verifies slot drop transactions, and completes written reports as assigned. The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, and a reasonable amount of overtime when required. Officers must respond to visual and aural cues, remain calm in stressful situations, work independently and as part of a team, and maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance. Other duties may be assigned.
