About The Position

The Guest Room Attendant maintains a high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms. Duties include thoroughly cleaning rooms after checkout in preparation for the next guest and refreshing rooms for guests continuing their stay. The position is with the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown in Austin, Texas.

Requirements

• Availability in the morning or daytime.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to stand for eight hours at a time.
• Ability and willingness to bend, stretch, reach, and push up to 20 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Restock and replace used items in guest rooms.
• Communicate the clean status of each room upon completion.
• Remove room-service trays and tables from guest rooms.
• Stock the supply cart and keep it neat and well organized.
• Check equipment before and after use to ensure it is in good working order.
• Respond to hotel guests efficiently and in a friendly manner.
