About The Position

The Guest Room Attendant cleans guest rooms according to company and departmental standards and ensures the security of guest rooms and their contents. The role includes preparing rooms, replenishing amenities and supplies, updating room status, completing departmental paperwork, reporting repairs, and responding to guest requests. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in a similar position preferred.
Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
Must be able to push, pull, and maneuver a supply cart weighing approximately 200 pounds.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to kneel, reach, stoop, bend, scrub, sweep, vacuum, and dust.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals used in cleaning guest rooms is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned guest rooms to company and departmental standards.
Change bed linens and collect used bath linens, replacing them with fresh linens.
Dust hard surfaces and vacuum carpeted areas.
Clean bathroom sinks, counters, tubs and/or showers, toilets, and other surfaces.
Replenish room amenities such as tissues and soaps.
Stock the supply cart with materials needed to clean guest rooms.
Update room status and complete required departmental paperwork.
Notify the housekeeping office of repairs needed in guest rooms.
Handle guest requests quickly and efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents.
