About The Position

The Guest Room Attendant cleans and services assigned guest rooms according to category priority and franchise and hotel standards. The role maintains cleanliness and quality throughout daily assignments, reports maintenance deficiencies, responds to guest requests and complaints, and safeguards the confidentiality and security of guest rooms. The attendant follows housekeeping, safety, and security procedures, handles guest concerns to support satisfaction, returns and restocks the cart at the end of the shift, and completes additional deep or seasonal cleaning as scheduled. Other duties may be assigned. The position is with the opening team at TownePlace Suites by Marriott State College, an 89-suite extended-stay hotel operated by Shaner Hotels.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of cleaning experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers so they understand.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for the clientele.

Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.
