About The Position

The Guest Relations Associate, also known as the Education & Events Associate, engages with guests by sharing knowledge about Eataly, its products, and its history. The role provides exceptional guest service and directly influences guests’ impressions through greeting, directing, and answering inquiries in person and over the phone. The position reports to the Education & Events Manager.

Requirements

Excellent guest service attitude with a welcoming and confident demeanor.
Ability to remain calm and patient in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to learn, retain, and share Eataly knowledge.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Intermediate computer skills.
Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to 8 hours.
Ability to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail and/or restaurant experience.
Ability to speak and understand Italian.

Responsibilities

Provide exemplary guest service to internal and external Eataly guests.
Communicate effectively with customers and staff in person, through email, and over the phone.
Handle guest situations professionally, quickly, thoroughly, and respectfully.
Collect payments from guests and issue store credits, comps, and refunds at Management’s discretion.
Sell and process gift cards.
Provide clients with product information.
Take orders for and prepare custom orders, including grocery orders and gift boxes.
Prepare and execute product tastings and demonstrations, and assist with in-store events and activations.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
