About The Position

The Guest Coordinator engages with guests and promotes Ulta Beauty’s services business through in-person and phone interactions. They represent Ulta Beauty’s image, products, and culture, and support the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager with sales performance, guest service and associate culture, operating procedures, and compliance. The role calls for a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate salon services and product knowledge. The Guest Coordinator supports salon and store operations by handling calls and bookings, assisting with guest concerns and salon traffic flow, recommending products and services, and helping deliver services and events that meet sales goals. They collaborate with service providers and store teams to build guest relationships, support appointment and rebooking behaviors, maintain a welcoming and compliant environment, and uphold Ulta Beauty’s policies and operational standards.

Requirements

One year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Proficiency with basic technology, such as a Point of Sale system, Apple devices, and a Services Booking System.
Significant competency in sales, products, and services.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty including credit, retail shrink, and omnichannel sales.
Acknowledge guests in Salon, Haircare, and Skincare areas and provide friendly, prompt, courteous service.
Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
Answer salon calls, address and resolve guest concerns, manage the services booking system, guest records, and salon traffic flow, and suggest add-on services.
Inform guests about promotions and events, invite them to try services, and provide knowledgeable product and service recommendations.
Support service providers with daily appointment pages, rebooking, and new guest acquisition behaviors.
Book appointments and support services and in-store events that provide a strong guest experience and meet sales goals.
Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services, including their ingredients and benefits.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
Communicate and collaborate with the team to build awareness of stylists’ personal goals and help drive success.
Develop guest relationships and provide appropriate retail and service recommendations.
Observe consultations to identify guest needs and help ensure service guests receive a 360° experience.
Collaborate with managers, associates, stylists, and skin therapists to grow the business and support the guest experience.
Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners to collaboratively deliver guest service.
Promote the guest loyalty program, credit, and Ulta Beauty app to guests in the salon and salesfloor.
Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development.
Know and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards; follow the dress code.
Help ensure safety, sanitation, infection control procedures, and state board guidelines are followed before, during, and after services.
Partner with the Experience Manager to use scheduling tools and recommend schedule adjustments that maximize results.
Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager and help maintain guest-readiness.
Maintain store operational standards and cleanliness in assigned areas.
Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
