About The Position

The Guest Concierge & Cashier serves as the primary touchpoint for all visitors and a brand ambassador for Nick’s Magnificent. This role delivers a warm, polished, and elevated welcome to families visiting our indoor luxury playground and café. The Guest Concierge & Cashier is responsible for accurately processing playground visit transactions and customer orders, maintaining an organized and visually appealing front counter experience, and supporting overall facility presentation. This position blends exceptional guest service, financial accuracy, and light operational support within a high-energy, family-focused environment. This role requires professionalism, composure, and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences for children and families alike. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Guest Experience Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • WA State Food Worker Card within 14 days of hire.
  • Customer service principles within luxury hospitality, retail, and elevated guest service expectations.
  • Basic understanding of Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Basic mathematical concepts related to transactions, reconciliation, and pricing accuracy.
  • Basic sales and upselling skills with the ability to naturally recommend premium offerings.
  • Brand presentation standards and luxury hospitality expectations.
  • Workplace safety practices and general facility upkeep and presentation standards.
  • Modern office practices, methods, procedures and equipment.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy with both adults and children.
  • Company policies related to guest relations, conflict resolutions, and service recovery.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of professionalism and warmth.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and accountability in all assigned responsibilities.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, family-focused environment.
  • Follow established procedures, brand standards, and safety guidelines consistently.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance.
  • Resolve guest concerns calmly and effectively, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously with parents, children, and team members.

  • Perform basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and counting currency, quickly and accurately.

  • Maintain composure, efficiency, and professionalism during high-volume or peak periods.
  • Operate a POS system and related technology accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation standards in the playground facility, especially in guest-facing areas.
  • Read, learn, interpret, apply, and explain regulations, policies and procedural guidelines.
  • Use tact, initiative, prudence, and independent judgement within general policy and procedural guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; comprehend and use the English language effectively including producing all forms of communications in a clear, concise, and understandable manner to intended audiences.
  • Operate a variety of modern office equipment and personal computers using standard and customized software programs appropriate to assigned activities.
  • Establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk frequently throughout café and playground areas, lift and carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g. supplies, inventory restocking items), bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform light cleaning tasks; manual dexterity sufficient to operate a POS system, handle cash, and prepare café items; visual acuity to read screens, menus, labels, and transaction details; Ability to speak clearly and hear guests in a moderately noisy playground environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide a polished first and final impression of the brand.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions with precision and accountability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing front desk counter and service area.
  • Support light facility upkeep, including maintaining cleanliness of guest-facing areas.
  • Assist families with questions regarding playground services, pricing, promotions, and playground policies.
  • Clearly communicate offerings, memberships, packages, rules, and special programs.
  • Ensure all guests meets the safety standards (e.g., waivers, age guidelines, capacity limits, etc.).
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and positive guest flow.
  • Support opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and basic reporting tasks.
  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, elevated, and family-friendly atmosphere at all times.
  • Performs all duties of the Café Concierge & Cashier position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, directed, or required.
