About The Position

Sonos is seeking a student for an 11-week, full-time internship/co-op focused on consumer insights and competitive intelligence. The role will help develop a repeatable framework for reporting how Sonos and competing brands go to market, and will share one or two rounds of findings as the framework takes shape. The intern will examine competitors’ advertising channels, share of voice, tone, messaging, and creative, comparing these with Sonos. The role will also gather earned-media data, identify additional platform metrics with media teams, and find data sources or workarounds where information is unavailable. AI tools may be used to create repeatable processes, such as monthly web scraping or an organized competitor-content library, with outputs checked before use. The intern will work with Product Marketing, Product Management, and Go-To-Market teams to understand shared customer segments, differences in strategy, and opportunities to position Sonos, then present findings at the end of the summer. The internship runs June 7 through August 20, 2027, and requires 40 hours per week with at least four days per week onsite at Sonos’s Boston, Massachusetts office. No relocation or housing assistance is provided. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in a related field and meet the stated expected graduation window. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer now and in the future; visa sponsorship is unavailable for this role. The internship program includes multi-day orientation and onboarding, a leadership speaker series, cohort social activities, meaningful projects, mentorship, and a collaborative, creative culture. U.S. interns and co-ops are eligible for benefits beginning on day one unless otherwise noted. Medical, dental, and vision insurance begin after 90 days of continuous employment. Eligibility for the 401(k) plan with company matching begins after 1,000 hours of service or three years averaging 500 hours of service per year, whichever comes first. Interns also receive 80 hours of sick time upon hire, refreshed annually, up to 12 paid holidays per calendar year, an employee discount, and Sonos Radio HD.
