About The Position

The GSOC Analyst provides advanced technical and analytical support to the Security Watch Center and its personnel. The role supports the efficient operation of security systems and incident management processes through data analysis, reporting, decision-making, and strategic oversight. Responsibilities include helping manage and analyze security incidents, documenting events, coordinating effective responses and follow-up, preparing reports, identifying crime trends and emerging threats, and making recommendations in high-pressure situations. The position also assists with recruiting and selecting Senior Operations Analyst candidates and developing a written selection exam for company approval.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least one year of proven experience conducting rapid information analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving with positive outcomes, especially in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
• Typing certificate demonstrating a speed of 35 WPM.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Successfully pass the company-approved Senior Operations Analyst Written Exam.

Nice To Haves

• California P.O.S.T. Basic Peace Officer or Police Dispatcher Certificate is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing and analyzing security incidents, ensuring timely and accurate event documentation and facilitating effective responses.
• Investigate incidents, coordinate responses, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
• Prepare detailed security incident reports, crime trend analyses, and operational performance assessments for decision-making, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze crime data and security-related trends to identify patterns and emerging threats, and present findings to management to inform security strategy and resource allocation.
• Make rapid operational decisions in high-pressure situations by synthesizing limited or incomplete information, applying sound judgment, and making data-informed recommendations.
• Assist the contractor with recruiting and selecting Senior Operations Analyst candidates, ensuring candidates meet or exceed minimum requirements.
• Assist in developing and proposing the Senior Operations Analyst Selection and Recruitment Written Exam for company approval.
