Summer Internship Program - Growth Operations

Tria Federal•Arlington, VA

About The Position

Tria Federal is seeking an intern for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. This full-time internship supports the Business Development and Growth function by applying technology to improve how the team identifies, qualifies, and captures federal business. The intern scopes and owns one or more substantive projects, such as building a tool, automating a workflow, improving pipeline analytics, or integrating data sources. Projects use “vibe coding”: describing desired behavior in plain English to an AI coding assistant such as Claude or Cursor and iterating on its output. Prior development experience is not required. The internship is self-directed and build-first. The intern manages research, sets the pace, troubleshoots challenges, and produces weekly deliverables with limited day-to-day direction, while drawing on organizational resources as needed. A mentor reviews progress weekly, and the mentor and a BD colleague conduct formal checkpoint reviews. The work applies Tria’s AI- and technology-enabled operating model to Growth operations, aiming to turn manual processes into proactive, data-driven processes that can be maintained and scaled after the internship. The intern also learns federal contracting and business development fundamentals, collaborates with colleagues and senior executives, participates in professional development and networking, and presents a final project demonstration and recommendation to leadership.
