About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking a motivated student for its 2027 Summer Internship Program in Sales Operations. The internship is in person Monday through Friday in Spokane, Washington; relocation expenses are not offered. Interns gain exposure to client service, risk management, operations, sales, business analytics, and other functional departments, and work on projects that provide hands-on experience developing solutions to real-world business problems. The program provides mentorship, training, resources, professional development, and opportunities to build industry relationships and a professional network. The intern supports the department’s mission and vision and helps further the agency’s brand. Work includes supporting directors, sales executives, and client relations staff in pursuing new business and retention opportunities, while following organizational policies, sales and service standards, and established workflows. The intern is expected to maintain quality documentation and confidentiality and contribute as a collaborative, dependable team member. The position pays $18.85 per hour. The role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Requirements

Be a student applying to the 2027 Summer Internship Program.
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at both the time of application and the start date; all academic grades are considered.
Have legal work authorization in the United States.
Be detail-oriented, thorough, and organized.
Be collaborative and team-oriented, maintain positive colleague relationships, and be dependable in meeting deadlines and producing accurate, complete work.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn, improve, and pursue professional development.

Responsibilities

Partner with teams on creative and diverse projects to further develop and fulfill Marsh Agency’s brand.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support the mission and vision of the department in which the intern works.
Provide support to directors, sales executives, and client relations staff to enhance new business and retention opportunities.
Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and contribute as an active team member.
Participate in national and regional classes introducing the intern to the industry and organization.
Build industry relationships and a professional network through opportunities to meet industry partners.
Follow organizational policies, procedures, sales and service standards, and established workflows.
Ensure quality control through proper file documentation and maintenance.
Maintain confidentiality.
