About The Position

Amae Health is seeking its first dedicated marketing hire, a Growth Marketing Lead, to build and own the company's marketing stack. This role involves shaping the brand voice and positioning, and executing across all channels. The ideal candidate is an AI-native operator with a strong point of view on brand and a desire to build in an environment where the playbook is yet to be written. This is a full-time, onsite position based in either San Francisco or New York City.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of marketing experience.
  • At least 1+ years as a solo or first marketing hire at a startup (sub-200 people).
  • Genuinely AI-native: experience building real workflows using tools like Jasper, Perplexity, Clay, Surfer, or equivalents.
  • Demonstrated experience shaping and evolving brand voice, including leading or contributing to rebrands, developing tone-of-voice guidelines, and adapting positioning.
  • Experience owning content and SEO/GEO, with execution supported by a vendor.
  • Comfortable marketing to both B2B (clinicians, health systems) and B2C or B2B2C audiences simultaneously.
  • Bias toward measurement: ability to identify and understand what's working and why.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity: comfortable starting without a pre-existing marketing team, budget template, or fully built tech stack.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in healthcare, digital health, or a mission-driven consumer brand.
  • Experience ghostwriting or producing founder-voice content.
  • Familiarity with the behavioral health or SMI landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute channel strategies for demand generation and referral growth, including SEO/GEO/SEM, email, social, and events, with a focus on driving referrals from health system partners and clinicians.
  • Build and execute a content engine (blog, LinkedIn, newsletters) to establish Amae as an authority on serious mental illness care.
  • Collaborate with co-founders and PR firm to evolve brand identity, messaging architecture, and tone of voice.
  • Develop marketing campaigns and materials for patients, families, health plan and health system partners, and referring providers.
  • Support the design of Amae's presence at clinical conferences, health system events, and community touchpoints.
  • Establish marketing tools, workflows, and measurement systems for long-term marketing function.
