About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Group Therapist to provide addiction treatment services at its Eastern Shore location, a 100-bed residential facility offering inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. The therapist conducts group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups tailored to clients’ challenges and needs; helps clients develop healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools; and collaborates with clinical staff to monitor client challenges and progress. The role also includes escalating significant client concerns to the Clinical Director, documenting group sessions, and completing clinical assessments and individual client charting.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field, valid state licensure or certification to practice in the role (such as ADT), and substance abuse experience. A master’s degree is preferred. The work takes place in a modern residential rehabilitation facility on secluded property, alongside a multidisciplinary clinical team.
