About The Position

The Group Home Manager leads residential support for individuals with developmental disabilities and varying physical support needs. The role oversees daily home operations and builds a compassionate, mission-driven team through hiring, training, and mentoring staff. The manager fosters a positive home culture and trusting relationships that promote residents’ independence, personal choice, dignity, safety, and meaningful lives. The position collaborates with clinical and administrative team members and supports residents’ daily living, medical, and community needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or two years of related progressive experience and/or training.
• Two years of progressive experience working with people who have a developmental disability.
• At least one year of experience must include supervisory responsibilities.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be reviewed individually.
• Must be available to be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individualized support and behavior plans are implemented properly.
• Train and guide new and existing staff.
• Evaluate prospective employees to help hire appropriate staff.
• Assist staff in providing daily living support, including personal care, meals, and routines.
• Support residents’ medical needs and appointments.
• Encourage community involvement and social engagement.
• Collaborate as part of a compassionate, supportive team.
• Oversee daily operations and foster a positive home culture.
• Build trusting relationships that encourage residents’ independence, personal choice, and dignity.
• Hire, train, and mentor staff.
