About The Position

We are seeking dynamic and engaging Group Facilitators to provide psychoeducational, therapeutic, and recovery-oriented services within our Adult ASAM Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and ASAM Level 3.1 Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential Program. Group Facilitators will lead structured group interventions that support recovery from substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related life challenges. Ideal candidates will possess strong facilitation skills, a passion for helping others, and experience working with adults in behavioral health and substance use treatment settings. This position works closely with licensed clinicians to promote client engagement, retention, and successful treatment outcomes.

Requirements

  • Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC); OR CSAC Supervisee
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with adults experiencing substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
  • Experience facilitating groups in behavioral health, residential treatment, IOP, correctional, or community-based settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of recovery principles and substance use treatment preferred.
  • Strong public speaking and group facilitation skills.
  • Ability to engage diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorders and recovery principles.
  • Understanding of co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Ability to manage group dynamics and difficult situations effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate evidence-based and recovery-oriented group counseling sessions for adults receiving ASAM 2.1 and 3.1 services.
  • Conduct psychoeducational groups covering various substance use and mental health topics
  • Promote participant engagement and active involvement during group sessions.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and therapeutic group environment.
  • Complete group notes and attendance records within required timeframes.
  • Accurately document participant progress, engagement, and interventions provided.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Communicate client concerns, barriers, and progress to supervising clinicians.
  • Implementation of individualized service plans.
  • Encourage recovery-oriented behaviors and healthy coping strategies.
  • Assist clients in understanding treatment goals and expectations.
  • Support client retention and participation in services.
  • Model professional and ethical behavior.
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards.
