About The Position

SavATree is seeking a Groundsperson to work on a General Tree Care crew. The role involves working outdoors at client properties and supporting the team in delivering high-quality tree care to maintain and preserve the health of clients’ landscapes. The Tree Care team performs pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other tree-care work. Team members safely operate equipment, complete assigned tasks, and provide excellent service to clients.

The position involves frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds. SavATree provides training and development opportunities, supports continuing education, and offers opportunities for career growth. Relocation assistance is available in most cases for employees interested in another location.

Requirements

• Experience with proper pruning practices, including large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species and working knowledge of their characteristics.
• Experience with tree-care safety standards.
• Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; a CDL is a plus.
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket trucks).
• Must be authorized to lawfully work in the United States.
