About The Position

The Grounds Person helps maintain the physical asset in good condition and ensures community spaces are clean and sanitary. The role includes maintaining cleanliness in common areas, inspecting community grounds, supporting apartment turnovers, testing smoke detectors in vacant apartments, and tracking cleaning supplies and requesting replenishments when needed.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in written form.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all community common areas in accordance with internal quality control standards.
• Ensure sidewalks, parking areas, and building interiors are free of trash and debris.
• Perform daily audits of community grounds and report findings to management.
• Assist with the apartment turnover process as needed.
• Test smoke detectors in all vacant apartments.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and customers.
• Contribute to community and company engagement efforts.
• Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and submit requests when supplies get low.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
