About The Position

Groundskeepers maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community and provide service to residents. The role involves cleaning and maintaining grounds and common areas, preparing vacant units for occupancy, inspecting building exteriors and lighting, reporting repair needs, and following company safety and environmental policies. The position includes work in and outside maintenance and machinery environments and residential properties, with frequent interaction with residents and community staff. Candidates must be available for night and weekend emergency call duty. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a $500 net sign-on bonus paid in their first paycheck.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid state-issued driver's license and safe driving record.
Ability to use smart mobile devices.
Ability to work independently.
Solid customer relations skills.
Strong communication skills.
Availability for night and weekend emergency call duty.
Ability to regularly use hands to manipulate tools, machinery, equipment, supplies, and office equipment; frequently stand, reach, climb ladders, balance, and stoop; and regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean, rake, and collect debris from community grounds, breezeways, and common areas.
Keep stair towers clean and free of waste.
Ensure exterior steps have treads and are safe.
Remove snow and apply salt during inclement weather.
Prepare vacant units for occupancy, including necessary clean-out tasks.
Inspect building exteriors and lighting daily and promptly report required repairs or issues to the maintenance supervisor.
Follow company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Provide responsive, consistent, positive, and professional service to residents.
