About The Position

NALS Apartment Homes is hiring a Groundskeeper for Towne Square Apartment Homes. The role is responsible for the general day-to-day upkeep of the community, including grounds, common areas, pools and spas, mail rooms, laundry rooms, and the maintenance shop. The Groundskeeper also assists with turning vacant apartments and carries out other duties or projects as assigned. This is a full-time career position described as an opportunity for longevity and growth, with a 40-hour work week.

Requirements

Possess skills related to grounds maintenance and pool maintenance job functions.
A valid driver's license and current auto insurance may be required.
Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
Be able to lift and work with heavy equipment.
Meet the physical demands of medium to heavy work, including prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 100 lbs., with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
Have good hand-eye coordination, including the ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs and perform repetitive or continuous tasks according to set procedures and sequences.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain the property's grounds daily.
Remove trash and debris from common areas.
Clean and maintain barbeque grills, if applicable.
Clean and maintain pools and spas, including chemical testing and keeping furniture clean.
Clean and maintain the mail room and laundry rooms, if applicable.
Keep the workplace and maintenance shop clean and supplies and tools organized.
Assist with turning vacant apartments, including work involving painting, locks, light bulbs, garbage disposals, drawers, doors, smoke detectors, blinds, windows, drains, faucets, and toilets.
Perform additional duties, responsibilities, or projects as assigned.
Maintain open communication with the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
