About The Position

Camden’s Groundskeepers help create an inviting community environment by maintaining curb appeal and keeping community spaces clean and attractive for residents and guests. The role suits a customer-focused person who enjoys hands-on work and teamwork. Groundskeepers support community retention through initiative in maintaining the property’s appearance and by providing a high level of customer service. The position also offers exposure to other areas of community maintenance, including service requests and the make-ready process, as an opportunity to begin a career in multifamily maintenance.

Requirements

• A customer-focused attitude and the ability to work as part of a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.

• Ability to read and write English at an intermediate level to read diagrams, meters, and instructions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma.
• Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, carpet cleaning, pool maintenance, or related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash daily from office areas, common areas, and the community perimeter.
• Assist with the make-ready process by removing trash from vacant apartments.
• Clean and maintain the pool daily and monitor and maintain the proper chemical balance of pool water.
• Maintain clean hallways, walkways, community amenities, and common areas.
• Maintain the community’s appearance by replacing lightbulbs, removing litter, painting, and performing minor repairs.
• Assist with other community maintenance activities as requested, including make-ready work, painting, carpet cleaning, and landscaping.
• Identify safety issues, hazardous conditions, and maintenance needs, and correct or report them to the maintenance supervisor.
• Check that community gates operate properly.
• Assist with housekeeping, distributing notices, apartment inspections, and other tasks as needed.
