About The Position

Leggett & Platt is hiring a Grounds Technician to maintain lawns, flower beds, and landscaping, inspect grounds and assigned areas, and remove snow during the winter. The role also performs corrective and preventative care for grounds equipment and the irrigation system, along with other assigned tasks. The work involves being outdoors and physically active for several hours each workday.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent vocational training.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Previous hands-on grounds experience operating various mowers, tractors, and equipment.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Must be able to work overtime or on-call as needed.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and spend several hours outdoors each workday standing, carrying, lifting, and/or walking.

Responsibilities

• Perform the daily grounds work schedule, including maintaining lawns and flower beds and completing landscaping duties.
• Conduct daily inspections of grounds and assigned areas.
• Remove snow during winter.
• Perform corrective and preventative care for grounds equipment and the irrigation system, as well as other assigned tasks.
