About The Position

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking an on-site Grounds Technician to support a positive experience for residents by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the apartment community. The role includes caring for grounds and common areas, removing trash, maintaining landscaping and irrigation, and addressing seasonal snow and ice. The company offers on-the-job training and development, career growth opportunities, and a benefits package. Starting compensation is $16.63 per hour or higher, based on experience.

Requirements

Ability to shovel snow and/or clear ice from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt during snow season.
Ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and push or pull up to 80 pounds.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the team dress code policy.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with residents and co-workers.
Basic computer skills and comfort learning software, apps, and programs.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Experience in irrigation.

Responsibilities

Maintain the general upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
Maintain parking lots and grounds surrounding buildings, as well as corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms, if applicable.
Collect and remove trash as needed.
Weed beds using appropriate tools.
Monitor the irrigation system to ensure grass areas are adequately watered.
Repair or replace sprinkler heads and lines as required.
Report unhealthy lawns, trees, shrubs, and plants to management.
Edge around trees and landscape borders to maintain a neat appearance.
Rake grounds and blow or sweep sidewalks and parking lots as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
