Grounds Technician
About The Position
Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician to join its on-site operations team and help support a positive experience for residents. The position is responsible for the general upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community, including grounds, parking lots, building corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms when applicable. The role includes outdoor groundskeeping and irrigation maintenance, trash removal, and seasonal snow and ice clearing. Requirements
- Ability to shovel snow and/or clear ice from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas during snow season.
- Ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and push or pull up to 80 pounds.
- Maintain a professional appearance following the team dress code policy.
- Able to effectively and professionally communicate with residents and co-workers.
- Basic computer skills and comfort learning software, apps, and programs.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

- Experience in irrigation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
- Maintain parking lots and grounds surrounding buildings, as well as corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms when applicable.
- Collect and remove trash as needed.
- Weed beds using appropriate tools.
- Monitor the irrigation system to ensure grass areas are adequately watered.
- Repair or replace sprinkler heads and lines as required.
- Report unhealthy lawns, trees, shrubs, and plants to management.
- Edge around trees and landscape borders to maintain a neat appearance.
- Rake grounds and blow or sweep sidewalks and parking lots as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Shovel snow and/or clear ice from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas during snow season.
